Leaky ductwork is one of the most overlooked causes of HVAC inefficiency and comfort problems. Our duct repair process starts with a thorough inspection, often including pressure testing to measure exactly how much air your system is losing. We also inspect duct connections at registers and at the air handler or furnace, where leaks are common.

Repair methods depend on the type and severity of damage. Minor leaks at joints and connections are sealed with professional-grade mastic or metal tape (not duct tape, which fails over time). Larger holes or damaged sections may require patching or replacement. Flexible duct that has become kinked or crushed may need to be rerouted or replaced to restore proper airflow.

Many Peninsula homes were built in the 1950s-70s with ductwork that's now 50+ years old. This older ductwork often has multiple leaks and may be undersized for modern HVAC equipment.
